Chiropractic care is the practice of using spinal alignment to alleviate a wide variety of physical ailments, including muscle strain, neck pain, chronic back pain, and more. This is accomplished by adjusting the position of the spinal column to its proper shape, providing a non-invasive solution for pain relief.
Many people dismiss chiropractic care as being something only for back pain, but chiropractic treatment can be used to treat a wide variety of physical issues, such as migraines and headaches, chronic pain, carpal tunnel, pain due to injury or muscle strain, and much more. As a Broken Arrow chiropractor, Dr. Heath Travis will help educate you about the benefits of chiropractic care.
An individualized chiropractic care plan will be given to our patients after his or her first appointment. How often the patient may need to receive adjustments will largely depend on a combination of factors including the symptoms you are experiencing and what your day-to-day lifestyle looks like. An individual may benefit from scheduling weekly appointments, or find that once-a-month visits work better for you. This will be discussed during the initial consultation.
Our team at Travis Chiropractic can handle a variety of issues and chronic pain. We handle the following:
One of the most common questions people have about chiropractic care is, “Will it hurt?” Many people ask this question out of fear caused by misinformation. You’ll be happy to know that your chiropractic treatment should not cause you to feel any pain. There are however rare cases when the client is already suffering from acute pain, that their adjustment may feel slightly uncomfortable or lead to soreness proceeding the appointment. This is completely normal and a part of the process of total healing. For the majority of our patients, feelings of immediate relief are often reported. If you begin to feel anxious for any reason, please let one of our team members know. We’ll do whatever we can to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
